External bets, on the other hand, consist of betting not on one, two, three or four numbers, but on a much larger number of fields. Below we list possible external bets:

  • low or high numbers – low numbers are those in the range of 1 to 18, while high numbers are in the range of 19 to 36;
  • even or odd – there is no need to explain anything here;
  • columns – you bet the winning column and the roulette odds allow you to get triple payout;
  • tens – you have a choice of three dozen: 1 to 12, 13 to 24 and 25 to 36. You win if you hit a number belonging to your chosen collection.

There are also so-called announced bets:

  • Fields adjacent to the number zero („voisins du zero”) – is a total of 15 numbers, 7 from left and 7 from right;
  • Le Tiers Du Cylindre – twelve numbers at the bottom of the roulette;
  • Orphelins – remaining eight numbers.

How to play roulette?

Although roulette is a game of chance, unlike the one-armed bandit for example, it leaves some margin for reflection.
If you want to play roulette and win real money, do not start playing roulette without any tactics. This is a big mistake, made by many beginners. Using the right strategy increases your chances of winning. If, for example, you prefer in-house betting, betting on single fields with high amounts of money is not a good thing.
Unless you have unlimited financial resources and can afford to take such far-reaching risks. However, most players do not take more risks than necessary. To help yourself, use one of the three strategies below.

Martingale strategy

Grand Martingale strategy

The Grand Martingale strategy resembles its predecessor in some ways but differs from it in the degree of risk. It exposes you to bigger losses because it involves tripling the bets you lost.
